It all started almost one year ago. By then, I had already realized how much I love to be constantly on the road or up in the air; listening to music while exploring, discovering, packing and unpacking became a sweet habit. So the time was precisely then for a new adventurous challenge; I said to myself: „starting from now on, October 2015, I will travel each month to a country different than the one I currently live in (Romania), for one full year.” Of course, I would still work full-time, and just go on holiday once in a while. Of course, I would take advantage of all free National holidays and go fulfill my dream. Of course, I would be on a tight budget. Of course, I would invest in my trips more than ever. Of course, I would live on a tight schedule, always planning my next step and my next travel. Of course, each objective and each dream has risks attached to it, but if you take every chance and take responsibility for every risk you face...Oh boy, trust me, you will never regret it! And then, suddenly, the chosen path also chose me; my steps were inherently guided by an unknown inner force towards the fulfillment of my dreams. I will make a short revision of my travels during this 12 months of constant monthly traveling. October 2015, Baleal, Peniche, PORTUGAL – My first encounter with surf. Truly unforgettable. November 2015, Madrid, SPAIN – Back to my roots, meeting my family, spending non-touristic days out and about. December 2015, Istanbul, TURKEY – Exploring once more Anatolian cuisine and stories with sultans and odalisques. January 2016, La Valletta (and actually, all three main islands belonging to Malta), MALTA – Spending New Year's Eve on a secluded beach, surrounded by the sea, stars and the moon, under the masonic sky. February 2016, Oslo, NORWAY – Minimalism and platinum blonde hair all across an incredible metropolis. February 2016, Reykjavik and many more, ICELAND – The return to innocence and to uncontrollable Mother Gaia. March 2016, Cappadocia, TURKEY – Dreaming a beautiful dream of hot-air balloons spread over the peculiar valleys of Goreme. April 2016, Balchik, BULGARIA – Queen Mary's legacy: endless gardens of flowers and waves of cosmic energy flowing everywhere. May 2016, Baleal, Peniche, PORTUGAL – Back to this incredible place, growing even more closer to my heart. June 2016, Milan and Lake Como, ITALY – Delicious foodies and imposing, long respected, intricate buildings. Quiet lakes and elegant villages adorning their shorelines. July 2016, Nessebar, BULGARIA – An old jewel resting its beauty on the shore of the Black Sea, a wonderful peninsula, part of the UNESCO world heritage. August 2016, the islands of Santorini, Folegandros and Ios, GREECE – Following mythological trails, while wrapping up in turquoise Aegean seas and aquamarine skies. September 2016, Veliko Tarnovo, BULGARIA – Dusty, narrow alleys, and ancient paths followed by tsars. October 2016, Baleal, Peniche, PORTUGAL – Overwhelmed by an intense sensation, that of being home among the endless, sunny, sandy beaches, the salty air and the restless ocean. And it was then, when I thought I had already attained my objective, that I smiled and knew it was not over yet. November 2016, Limassol, CYPRUS – Warm autumn days by the sea, in the sea, breathing the sea. November 2016, Amsterdam, HOLLAND – Windy walks, by the Dam. December 2016, Venice, Garda Lake, Verona, ITALY – Bella Italia and its authentic splendours. December 2016, Lugano, SWITZERLAND – Comfort at its best. I have no words to express how thankful I truly am for all the experiences I have lived, for all the incredible places I have seen and for all the conversations I have had with the most amazing people along my path. My sincere love goes to those who were next to me in my travels, they are the ones who actively supported all my endeavours and ideas, and also my glimpses of happiness, my everything! Who can tell what is next? The answer is simple: nobody. The best plan is no plan, so allow life to surprise you! Our mind is always wondering...Let it be, and serenity will follow...
